Your home or business deserves a fence that not only enhances your property’s appearance, but also lasts for years to come. There are many types of fences for you to choose from, each with its own unique benefits and drawbacks. We know it can be difficult to make a decision. Luckily, we’ve outlined the basic differences between three main types of fences for you.

Which Type of Fence Is Right for You?

  • Aluminum- If you want a lightweight, durable, and sophisticated fence, aluminum may be the right choice for you. It doesn’t rot or rust, and it doesn’t require painting or refinishing. Though it provides better value than most other fence materials, it is one of the pricier options.
  • Chain Link- Chain link fences are highly functional. They are a great choice if security is your main priority, and they are very cost-effective. However, chain link fences aren’t the most visually appealing, and they can rust if they are not treated with the proper coating periodically.
  • Wood- Wood fences are the classic choice for suburban homes or people with traditional tastes. Wood makes for an excellent privacy fence, and it can add charm to any property. However, wood fences also require lots of maintenance and are susceptible to weather or pest damage.
  • Iron- If you want a fence that is very durable, secure, and low-maintenance, iron fencing may be for you. It’s also aesthetically pleasing and adds value to your property.
